I am trying to find out a bit about how this branch of the Hannan family found them selves in South Africa. When one gets older you are struck about how little your immediate family descendants know about the family history. Sometimes I get the impression that they do not really care. Because of television and the internet people do not really talk to each other face to face. We hardly share meals together. Each individual has their meal on their own either in front of the television or the computor. People do not really know each other and here I am referring to the family context. I have wonderful childhood memories of sitting around the supper table at night and listening to my family talking about the events of the day and what the plans were for tomorrow. It is sad that this part of family interaction has been lost in most households.
I have given the details that I have been told about on the post ” Hannan Family to Africa” If you have any details please complete the contact form so that I can add the details to this website.
